Recent Project: Documentary video on the indigenous Q'eros communities of Peru - click to view trailer

Mana Studios' non-profit branch works with groups and communities that would otherwise not have access to media technologies. Our non-profit projects focus on securing donations of community production equipment and training community members in their use so that they can independently produce media after we leave.

Filming for a documentary about the communities of Q'eros began in April of 2007 and an edited piece was delivered to community members the following November. The final version of the film is currently in post-production and we are working to honor the wishes of community collaborators by creating a product that focuses on both the communities' development goals and remarkable culture. Both shoots were accompanied by video education workshops that continue under the guidance of a local video expert trained by Mana Studios.
